Reports in Japan say two people have been killed and at least 16 have been injured  in a stabbing.

A man with a knife attacked commuters and schoolgirls at a bus stop in Kawasaki City, just outside Tokyo.

It's also understood the suspect has also died.

The schoolgirls, who were aged six and seven years old, were students at a private Catholic school and were waiting with their parents at a bus stop at around 7.45am.

The US President's visiting the country and has given his reaction: ' I want to take a moment to send our prayers and sympathy to the victims of the stabbing attack this morning. All American's stand with the people of Japan and grieve with the victims'.
