The UK's Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay is to meet the EU's top negotiator, Michel Barnier, in Brussels this morning.

It's after talks between Boris Johnson and Leo Varadkar yesterday ended on a positive note.

They agreed they can "see a pathway" to a possible deal - with reports of "significant movement" from the UK side.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is remaining tight lipped about the meeting - including whether any concessions have been made.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank is warning of major job losses in the event of a no-deal Brexit in three weeks' time.

It's forecasting 73,000 fewer jobs over the next two years, if the UK crashes out of the EU without a deal on October 31st.

The unemployment rate could rise to just under 7 percent in 2021 in a no-deal scenario, compared to 4.8 per cent if a deal is reached.

It's predicting shocks to the exchange rate, trade and investment, particularly in the agriculture and SME sectors.
