Bus drivers apologise for inconvenience

Striking staff at Dublin Bus say they apologise for any inconvenience caused to commuters as the strike at the company enters its third day.

Hundreds of thousands of people must find alternative ways to work this morning – as action against a 12 million euro cost-reduction plan implemented by management continues.

Gardai say car drivers may NOT use the bus lanes or the College Green bus corridor during the industrial action - as they are operating under normal rules.

SIPTU representative Gerry Pender says Dublin Bus staff are sorry for the disruption – but say they had no choice but to strike:
