Cannabis worth 20,000 euro and two puppies have been seized by Revenue Officers in two separate investigations.
Revenue officers seized two eight-week old chihuahua cross puppies at Dublin Port yesterday when they stopped and questioned a man who was travelling to the UK.
The man did not have pet passports for the dogs, and they weren't microchipped.
The puppies were transferred into the care of the DSPCA.
Meanwhile, a kilo of cannabis was discovered during a search in Waterford City yesterday.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and is currently detained at Waterford City Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing following both operations.
