A doctor who specialises in intensive care medicine has appealed to teenagers not to engage in the so called "choking game".

One teenager is in a serious but stable condition at Temple Street Hospital after engaging in the potentially lethal practice.

Its believed that over 80 children in the US have died directly as a result of playing the choking game.

Its usually played by children aged between 11 and 16.

Dr Kevin Carson is Clinical Director of Intensive Care in Temple Street Children's Hospital - he's been telling Sinead Sain about the so called choking game.
