The government will be looking into how easy it is for under 18s to watch porn online, the Taoiseach has said.

It comes in the wake of the Ana Kriegal murder trial.

Pornography was found on the mobile phones of Boy A - who was yesterday convicted of murder and aggravated sexual assault.

The two 14 year old boys involved will be sentenced on July 15th.

The UK government recently brought in laws which require people to prove they are over 18 to view pornography online.

Its age verification system will come into force on July 15th.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar told the Dail the government will look at the UK's rules:

"It's designed to prevent minor from accessing pornography online. It is a matter of concern to all of us that porn is so accessible to young people".

"So many young people learn about sex through porn which is not an accurate description of what is healthy."
