Their summit in Singapore took place today

The long-awaited summit of Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un took place in Singapore today and ended with the two leaders signing a denuclearisation agreement.

Is their meeting a step in the right direction and a move towards peace? Or will North Korea break another promise?

In a press conference after the meeting, Trump told reporters he admires Kim Jong-un and that he believes he will stick to the agreement.

Cal Thomas thinks we'll just have to wait and see: "Trump is appealing to Kim's ego. You can't change a country like this overnight."

Marion McKeone says the North Korean leader is the winner, as he hasn't elaborated on how he will work towards denuclearisation.

"This meeting was an absolute coup for Kim Jong-un."
