Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has confirmed that he'll be leaving the club at the end of the season. The Spaniard made the announcement shortly after Barca's 6-1 win over Sporting Gijon 6-1 in La Liga this evening.
Enrique won the treble in his first season at the club and he followed it up with a domestic double last season. The 46 year old was expected to walk away in the summer when his contract expired.
Enrique said " I won't be at Barcelona next season. I need to rest. I would like to thank the club for their trust. They have been three unforgettable years."
Barca's win in the league moved them top by two points as their arch rivals Real Madrid were held to a 3-3 draw at home to Las Palmas.
The Catalan club will have to overturn a 4-0 deficit against Paris Saint Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli is the bookies favourite for the job.
