Rory McIlroy's a fair yoke. The Down golfer is on a bad run of luck at the moment but he's some man for the one man and remains in the mix in Mexico city. There are 6 tied for the lead on 4 under at the WGC Mexico Championship including Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson and Ross Fisher. But Rory is just 1 off the lead on 3 under.

The state of the 27-year-old’s rib cage after a seven-week break caused by a fracture was a concern
going into the tournament but after he walked off the course he revealed he'd had to deal with another battle altogether: food poisoning. The Ulsterman had been awake since 3am before his round and revealed
he was 'worshipping the porcelain bowl' in advance of his opening round. We've all been there! But the good news is the ribs are on the mend. However its not the first time Rory's had a dodgy tummy. With all his clean eating maybe he's not able for the junk food the rest of us eat on a night out? He'd never survive a night on the town with the Today FM sport crew.

Summer appetiser at Croker.

There will be much bigger games at GAA HQ but one that will get mentioned quite a few times between now and October no doubt will be the outcome of this weekend's Dublin v Mayo clash at Croke Park. A win for Stephen Rochford's side could be useful to help steel his side for bigger challenges to come. Expect fireworks.

Hurling omens hard to read

So this weeks honours hurling mathematics question: Tipp beat Dublin and Dublin hammer Cork. Where does that leave Cork? Round Three of Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling Leagues sees Dublin and Waterford meet in Croke Park tommorrow night (throw-in 5pm). Ahead of the game, Waterford half-back Philip Mahony has been talking about the clash that sees Na Déise take on the Dubs - with one win each for each of the sides to date, both will be looking to get another victory to move up the table. Dubs to build on their momentum? They normally do well in the spring. There should be good entertainment value for punters there tommorrow.
