There I was doing a clean out the other day when I came across a load of sports gear that charted my sporting interests as a nipper. A Tipp jersey from the Premier's return to hurlings top table in the late 80's and another one that adorned one of Irelands greatest sportsmen in gaelic football and soccer.
Kevin Moran was a great warrior and the replica kits that adorned kids of that era like nowadays made the youngsters feel like they were playing out some of those great games in the back garden. Nowadays even though sports equipment and apparel has become nearly a science in itself it was interesting to note a technique that Katie Taylor uses to keep sharp.
I could definitely make one of those at home. Whatever about boxing, unlikely though that many people would be able to set up shop as a racehorse trainer given some of the tricks of that trade that are used to keep horses right. Take the lovely pool at Gordon Elliotts yard in Co. Meath.
